This guide takes you from a fresh account to your first submitted result. You’ll add a production location, create a material profile, then submit a sample.

Step 1: Add a production location

  1. Go to Material profiles at /material-profile.
  2. In the top left find “Production locations” and select “Add location”.
  3. Enter a name (e.g., “Lake Herman Plant”) and save.
Only owner/admin level users can add production locations.
Create one production location per plant or production site to keep results and materials clearly organized.

Step 2: Create a material profile

  1. From Material profiles (/material-profile), select “Create new”.
  2. Give the material a name, and follow the subseqent steps.
  3. Set targets, tolerances, and fill in any method specific detials.
  4. Save the profile.
Material profiles drive validation and analysis. Linking profiles to locations ensures the correct materials appear when submitting tests.

Step 3: Submit your first test

  1. Go to Results submission at /results-submission and click “Submit new”.
  2. Select a production location, then select a material. Continue with the additional details.
  3. Choose the test method(s) you want to run and then click next.
  4. Enter measurements in the Results tab.
  5. Click next and review in the Review tab.
  6. Submit your test by clicking submit in the top right corner.
When you change the production location or material, the platform resets related fields to keep data consistent.
You’re done! You added a location, created a material profile, and submitted your first result.
